Is it worth it to write a book as far as money goes? How do you do this?

I take it you are looking for a direct answer to your question. Agents and editors reject about 99% of the queries they receive. Of the 1% they do invite to send a partial manuscript, they still reject most. If you get past all that, then there is no guarantee you will make any significant amount of money. Most books never sell more than 2,000 copies. It is a tough business. Oh, and by the way, don't get into it if you can't handle rejections and frank feedback from editors. Having a great story isn't enough. There is also a craft to writing. If you're not familiar with terms like point of view, redundant phrases, passive language, and author intrusion then you'll need to develop your skills. Now, if the prospect of all that work with no assurance of making any money appeals to you, then I encourage you to pursue it. The premise of your story does sound interesting, but don't assume a good story will get you paid. Good luck.
