Accused of hacking, can I get into criminal trouble?

I had a very close friend and we knew each others passwords/emails and she gave me permission to access her, even asking me to sometime to check her email, facebook, etc. We had a fallen out, and I accessed her email a couple of more times, she never asked me not to, but now has called the police claiming I hacked her account. Can I be charged criminally for this?
