If Republican Senator and fellow Family Values guy Tom Coburn helped cover up Ensign's affair, should he go?

If Republican Senator Tom Coburn knew about payments to Republican Senator John Ensign's mistress , and knew this while there was a FBI investigation, and didn't come forward, should he be held criminally responsible or at minimum ethically censured?
