Spiritually speaking, what would you be willing to give up to have peace on earth?

would you be willing to give up your beliefs in a mean, vengeful, needy God that criminally tortures people after they die for not using their free will His way? So that we don't walk in this god's footsteps? Would you be willing to simply love, and cultivate peace in your hearts so the peace of the world won't be easily tipped? This is the first generation in known history where we have the technology to destroy our species forever...what would you give up to insure future generations can enjoy this earth?
